Vogliamo Giovanni Lo Porto LIBERO! Un unico desiderio: riportarlo a casa

22 luglio 2014 - Dal 19 Gennaio 2012 non si hanno più notizie di Giovanni (Giancarlo per i suoi amici), rapito insieme al suo collega Bernd in Pakistan mentre lavoravano per una ONG tedesca (Welt Hunger Hilfe). Da allora nessuna notizia certa, nessuna conferma ufficiale da parte della Farnesina, che resta comunque in contatto con la famiglia e la rassicura di fare del proprio meglio per portare Giovanni a casa.

Giovanni ha 37 anni, i suoi ultimi tre compleanni li ha passati da prigioniero. È l’unico cittadino Italiano ad essere stato sequestrato per così lungo tempo, 2 anni e mezzo per essere precisi.

Come sta? Dove sta? E soprattutto quando verrà liberato? Sono queste le domande che le quasi 58,000 persone che hanno firmato un appello si pongono (http://www.change.org/it/petizioni/non-lasciamolo-solo-vogliamogiovannil...) L’appello è rivolto al Presidente della Repubblica Giorgio Napolitano e al Presidente del Consiglio Matteo Renzi.

Noi tutti restiamo inermi ed impotenti, nella nostra disperazione e richiesta di aiuto; abbiamo girato un video quando ormai scoccavano i due anni e non volevamo arrivare certamente ai due anni e mezzo.  Come amici e cooperanti, come le tante persone che seguono le sue pagine facebook ed alcuni giornalisti che ci hanno aiutato a diffondere la sua storia, abbiamo un solo desiderio: riportarlo a casa. Crediamo in Giovanni, nella sua forza e nelle sue capacità e soprattutto VOGLIAMO credere nel Governo Italiano e nel loro lavoro dietro le quinte, nel silenzio totale.

Vorremmo solo riabbracciare Giovanni prestissimo, tutta l’angoscia provata in questo tempo svanirà non appena la notizia della sua liberazione verrà trasmessa.

Release Giovanni Lo Porto!

Since 19th January 2012 we have not received any news about Giovanni (Giancarlo for his friends) kidnapped together with his colleague Bernd in Pakistan while working for a German NGO (Welt Hunger Hilfe).
No certain information have been shared, no confirmation or official public communication from the Italian Government released. They have been regularly in touch with Giovanni’s family, keep ensuring that they are doing their best to bring Giovanni back home.

Giovanni is 37 and he has spent his last three birthdays ‘anniversaries far from his family and friends. He is the only Italian citizen to be held in captivity for such a long time, 2 years and half right now.

How is he? Where is he? When will he be released? That’s what 58,000 people are wondering every day, all the people who have signed the appeal(http://www.change.org/it/petizioni/non-lasciamolo-solo-vogliamogiovannil...)addressed to the President of the Italian Republic Giorgio Napolitano and to the Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.

We all remain defenseless and powerless. In order to remember Giovanni, we have shoot a video launched in January in the occasion of the second sad anniversary , for sure we did not want to reach this point, other six months have gone by.

All his friends, all the humanitarian workers, all many the people following his facebook’s, some journalists, they all have just one wish: have Giovanni back! We know Giovanni, his strength and capacities and most than everything else we WANT to believe in the Italian Government and in its work behind the scene, in total silence.
We are craving for hugging Giovanni once again, all the grieve that we have been feeling all this time will vanish as soon as we hear about his release.
